2. Ramoji Film City

Spread across an area of 5.7 square kilometers, this lake stands high among the most famous tourist destinations in Hyderabad. Named after Hussain Shah Wali, this lake was built across a tributary of the Musi river in 1563 by Ibrahim Quli Qutb Shah.

The lake is designed in the shape of a heart, and in the middle stands the large monolithic Buddha Statue that was erected in 1992. Spread over 100 acres of land, this fort possesses three main entrances – the “Prathama Dwaram”, the “Simha Dwaram” which features two snarling lions at the top, and the “Gaja Dwaram”, or the Elephant’s Entrance, which features a sculpture of two elephants majestically interlocked on both sides.
