With such lovely weather all around, you are bound to feel like eating something that matches perfectly with the climate.

When the heavens burst forth with a great roar, the bowels too demand some lip-smacking food with a roar of the same intensity! So, what is it about the monsoon that sets it apart from all the other seasons and makes you crave a different variety of food items? Well, nobody really knows the reason behind it but it is perhaps thanks to the beautiful climate that it brings along. But what we DO know is the awesome food that you can have to satisfy your hunger during the rainy season! Here are the best foods to eat in the rainy season.

1. Cutting Chai

The typical masala tea or ginger tea is the perfect thing to have in the cold rainy weather. This is one drink that beats all the others when it comes to the monsoon, and whether you are standing on the streets or inside a building, the combination of rain and tea is sure to improve your mood and give you a very comfortable feeling.

2. Pakora and Bhajiya

Ah! The feeling of having sizzling hot pakoras or bhajiyas on the street side while the clouds are pouring down on the city is heavenly. The spicy fried chilies that come with it along with the chutneys make the overall experience great. Combine this with some ‘Cutting Chai’ to give you the complete monsoon feeling.

3. Samosas

Yet another hot and crunchy item that we all crave for during the rainy season. These spicy food pockets are sure to heighten your senses and lift your mood when eaten while getting drenched in the rains. 4. Bhutta (Corn)
